Nominations are now open for the 2022 Te Kaipuoro Taketake Toa | Best Folk Artist.

Friday 28 January to Monday 31 January 2022 will be the 49th annual Auckland Folk Festival. Performers and audience will come together again at the Kumeu Showgrounds on Auckland Anniversary Weekend.

Performers and audience will come together again at the Kumeu Showgrounds on Auckland Anniversary Weekend, and treated to performances over 6 stages –  with 2022’s Best Folk Artist Tūi presented on the Sunday evening

Entry for Best Folk Artist 2022 is open to NZ Folk Artists with recordings released between 1 October 2020 and 30 September 2021.

Entries must be submitted online. To be eligible for judging entries must be submitted to Recorded Music NZ before 5pm on Friday 29th October.

The winner/s will be announced and the Tui trophy presented at the Auckland Folk Festival on the evening of Sunday 30 January 2022.
